We do strongly recommend going ahead with root canal treatment if your dentist has suggested it, as it could mean the difference between preserving your tooth and extracting it.
Step 1: Examination with your dentist.
Step 2: Recommendations from your dentist. In many cases, the tooth can indeed be saved with a root canal, though occasionally, an extraction may be the most sensible course of action.
Step 3: An anaesthetic is applied, and the root canals are cleaned. Your dentist will remove the decayed substance and seal the tooth.
Step 4: A crown is custom-made to fit over the treated tooth. This will restore its aesthetic and make it much easier to bite and chew than when your tooth was inducing unpleasant symptoms.
Step 5: Your dentist will provide you with instructions on short- and long-term aftercare.
